Official Veterinarians

OV66 authorised

Dogs, cats and rabbits

Our team includes Official Veterinarians (OVs), including OV66 authorised vets, who can assist with the necessary health checks and travel documentation required for your pet to travel overseas.

An Official Veterinarian (OV) is a veterinary surgeon authorised to complete official animal health work, including issuing travel documentation for pets. Our OVs can help guide you through the requirements for your destination, making the process as straightforward as possible.

If you are travelling from Great Britain to many destinations abroad, your pet may require an Animal Health Certificate (AHC). An AHC confirms that your pet meets the health requirements for travel and must be completed by an authorised OV.

During your appointment, we can help with:

Reviewing travel plans and destination requirements

Checking your pet’s identification and vaccination status

Completing and issuing required travel documentation

Providing advice on preparation before your journey

Travelling with Your Pet

Every country has different entry requirements, so it is important to plan ahead. Depending on where you are travelling, your pet may need:

Registered microchip

Rabies vaccination

Animal Health Certificate

Parasite treatments

Blood tests or documents

Specific export requirements

Some destinations have strict timelines. Please contact us as early as possible before travelling.

Travelling Further Afield

For pets travelling to countries with additional export requirements, our OV66 authorised vets can assist with the relevant processes and documentation where applicable.

We understand that travelling with your pet can feel complicated, which is why our team is here to support you every step of the way.
