Committed to sustainable veterinary care and reducing our environmental impact.
Our Commitment to the Environment
At Sanderson Vet, caring for animals goes hand in hand with caring for the environment we all share. As a veterinary practice, we recognise that our work has an environmental footprint and we believe it’s our responsibility to reduce that impact wherever possible.
That’s why we are proudly working towards Green accreditation through investors in the environment, a recognised framework that helps organisations measure, manage and improve their environmental performance. This journey reflects our long-term commitment to responsible, sustainable veterinary care.
As part of our ongoing journey towards iiE Green accreditation, our Green Team which is led by our dedicated Green Champion, coordinates and implements initiatives that advance our environmental performance and sustainability goals.
What “Green” Means to Us
Sustainability isn’t a once-off project, it’s an ongoing process of learning, improving and making better choices every day. Through our iiE Green journey, we are reviewing how we operate and identifying practical ways to reduce waste, conserve resources and operate more efficiently.
What We’re Doing to Reduce Our Environmental Impact
Sustainability in Veterinary Care
Veterinary medicine presents unique environmental challenges and we are committed to addressing them responsibly. This includes:
- Thoughtful use of medications and consumables
- Environmentally conscious sourcing where available
- Ongoing staff education around sustainable veterinary practices
By making informed choices, we aim to balance excellent patient care with environmental responsibility.
Looking Ahead
Our iiE Green journey is ongoing and we are committed to continuous improvement. As we learn more and implement new initiatives, we will keep refining our practices to ensure we are doing our part for the animals we care for, our clients and community and the environment for future generations.
Thank you for supporting a Veterinary practice that believes healthy animals depend on a healthy planet.
